Elaine Fleck is the Office Manager and Board Secretary for the Chicago Federation of Labor. She began her career at the CFL with a stint during the summer of 2013 as an administrative assistant, then returned in 2014 to join the staff full-time. In her current role, she prepares all materials for the Executive Board and Delegates Meetings, oversees the daily operations of the office as well as coordinates many CFL events and programming.
Prior to her work in administration, Elaine was a third-grade teacher in Lemont, IL. She served as the faculty lead for the Student Council where the students participated in many charitable events and led activities for the entire school to enjoy. She was nominated for a Golden Apple Award before coming to the CFL.
Elaine grew up in Berwyn, Ill. and raised her two daughters, Elyse and Emma, in Plainfield, Ill. She graduated on the Dean’s list with a B.A. in Elementary Education from Lewis University and now lives in the South Loop with her 23-year-old cat, Coco.
