Jazmine Reyes is the Director of Communications for the Chicago Federation of Labor. As the Communications Director, she manages all of the internal and external communications for the organization including, but not limited to social media, press outreach, email programs, strategic campaigns and event planning.
Before working at the CFL she served as a Communications Specialist at the International Association of Sheet Metal Air Rail & Transportation Workers (SMART) based out of Washington, DC. In this role, she directed the video production and digital communications assets for the organization and played a key role in message development for SMART’s strategic campaigns. Previously, Jazmine worked as a Communications Specialist at the California Labor Federation, after having started her professional career at the CFL in 2020 as a Communications Assistant focused on securing PPE for essential workers in Chicago during the height of the pandemic.
Jazmine was born and raised in Aurora, IL. She graduated from Northwestern University with a dual degree in Journalism and Political Science and has traveled extensively across the country as a representative for the labor movement, teaching union members key communication skills for effective messaging.
